Preparation

After you have scheduled your vaginal rejuvenation treatment, you will need to make some light preparations. To help, I will give you a set of preoperative instructions. I may direct you to:

  • Avoid using vaginal washes or douching leading up to your appointment.
  • Refrain from tampon use or sexual activity.
  • Discontinue taking any medications or supplements that may thin your blood.

If you start menstruating before your treatment, I may reschedule your appointment to ensure the most effective treatment.

Procedure

When you arrive for your procedure, a member of the Aesthetic Laser Center team will lead you to a private treatment room where you will meet with me to reconfirm your treatment plan. I will then cleanse your skin before applying an ultrasound gel and inserting the JETT Plasma probe into your vaginal canal. Most patients do not need anesthesia during their treatment, but we can discuss numbing options if necessary.

The probe will emit a direct current to send plasma to the targeted tissues. Your body will begin circulating more blood to the area, supporting cellular regeneration and stimulating the production of new collagen.

Recovery

You will be able to return to most of your daily activities immediately after your appointment, as this vaginal rejuvenation treatment requires no downtime. I may ask you to avoid using tampons or engaging in sexual activities for up to one week, but after this point, you may resume your routine.

I will provide you with any additional recovery instructions after your treatment to help you best care for yourself as you heal. If any questions or concerns arise, please contact us so I can best support you.

Vaginal rejuvenation using the JETT Plasma yields gradual results, which means that you will experience your enhancements develop over time as this treatment elevates your internal collagen levels. What concerns can the JETT Plasma address?

JETT Plasma can address vaginal laxity, weakened tissue, vaginal dryness, irritation, discomfort during intercourse, stress urinary incontinence, pregnancy-related changes, or menopause-related tissue changes, as well as a supporting treatment to heal your vaginal tissues after a surgical procedure.

Will I be able to engage in intercourse after my vaginal rejuvenation treatment?

I recommend approximately one week before resuming sexual activity to avoid irritating the area.

What type of anesthesia will you use during my vaginal rejuvenation treatment?

Most patients find that anesthesia is unnecessary when undergoing this treatment. If you are more sensitive to pain, I may apply a topical anesthetic at the beginning of your treatment.

Can I have children after undergoing vaginal rejuvenation?

I advise waiting to receive this treatment until after you have completed your family, as pregnancy can alter its effects. However, you can have children after undergoing vaginal rejuvenation if you wish.

Can you combine my vaginal rejuvenation treatment with another procedure or treatment?
